Is this thing on?

Something so easy as a DIY blog set up...and I am more confused than Jessica Simpson taking an LSAT exam. Perhaps I should have paid more attention during those high school computer courses, though I just thought the internet was for shopping and IMng. I just want to create a blog...not design a rocket ship.
